moon river
My father used to sing me this song.

Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.

I need him today. I need him to sing to me tonight.

I go down with the classics. This song just means so many things in so many different contexts, in so many different ways, but somehow, somewhere along its lines, it manages to always hit the nail in the head.

We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.

We all seem to get them from the tube and the radio. If we are lucky such as orange_stardust, someone would sing them to us and mean them too.
